Safety Inter-Rail Systems, Inc., is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all of its employees. All of Inter-Rail Systems, Inc., employees are OSHA and MSHA certified. In addition to the OSHA and MSHA certifications, all of Inter-Rail Systems, Inc. field service employees are 40 hour HAZWOPER certified and also provided special project and job specific training for non-routine job operation as required. To further aid in maintaining a safe and healthful work environment, Inter-Rail has a stringent drug and alcohol awareness and abuse policy including pre-hire, random, post accident and DOT drug and alcohol screens. The random and DOT drug and alcohol screens provide for a minimum of 50% -60% of the total work force to be screened each year. In 2001 and 2002 Inter-Rail Systems, Inc., had no recordable injuries and in 2003 had only one minor recordable injury. In 2004, no reportable injuries have been recorded to date. The Experience Modification Rate (EMR) for 2002 and 2003 was .84 and .83, respectively. Through our Environmental Health and Safety Program, safety procedures and training are implemented to insure our employees have the proper knowledge of the processing equipment, handling procedures, and potential safety risks involved in the work place. Safety training is required to assist in the prevention of accidents and injury. |
